We all know the saying Time is Money. But most of us struggle hugely with management of time as we do with management of money. Inspite of understanding the magnitude of what importance time management holds in our lives ,we all somehow fail in execution of time management skills. This blog will help you to learn some handy tricks for managing your time.

Introduction
Understanding the essence of time management & the benefits it can give you in your daily lives right from the smallest to the biggest tasks that you do , it is of utmost necessity that the skills to being more efficient in terms of managing time must be sharpened & enhanced to attain mastery at it.

Need
There is an immense need to manage time as it not only gives us many benefits but also helps to declutter our lives in countless number of ways. The people who manage their time efficiently are often the ones who can maintain a good balance between their work & leisure, people wonder how only a few ones make this equation work, but as difficult as it looks trust me its not, you just need a little pre planning & set targets for the upcoming day; thats it you are ready to go.!

When you manage time you are aware of where your time is to be invested , more than that where its worthless to invest time. Basically once you are efficient at time management you are sound about your priorities. This helps hugely in your professional as well as your personal lives. The need for time management also arises out of the need to inculcate punctuality in an individual & to teach all of us an organized and systematic way of carrying out our chores.

Application
The application includes execution of time management skills that we all posses but only a few of us actually work on enhancing & sharpening it. Though it seems like a cumbersome task to manage time, with few smart tricks it can be done easily. Here are few pointers which can help you in time management.

• Pre plan your day , write down all the tasks to be done for the next day, a night prior. Feel free to use mobile phone notes, reminders on your Alexa or Google devices etc.

• Have a clear set frame for your chores to be done. 

• Prioritise your tasks in the order where most time consuming ones are at the top & least time consuming at the bottom.

• Keep a segregated schedule for your professional & personal tasks , never mix them , thats a recipe for disaster.

• Don't jump for multi-tasking if its not your thing to do. Better one task at a time than many tasks but all undone. 

• Never ever skip on planning for your lunch, sleep & leisure time. Its more crucial than anything else.

• Also always keep a time window which is completely dedicated to yourself, that may involve taking care of your body & mind, pursuing hobbies, spending quality time with yourself, exercise, even a shower to freshen up works !

• Keep a separate time only for you & your significant other. This time must be reserved for both of you & everything else should be out of the frame.

• Make sure you spend some time away from all the gadget world. Its important that we keep in touch with humans after a whole day of keeping in touch with screens.

Benefits
There are numerous benefits of time management which are itself enough to tell us that its an absolute necessity in our life to manage time. Here are some key benefits of time management

1. You learn to prioritise your work better.

2. You learn & practice punctuality.

3. You are less worried & less stressed about the tasks to be done as your plan is already set. Any changes on the spot can be handled too !

4. You learn to follow a set routine , which keeps you organized.

5. You don't end up having piled up or backlog of tasks.

6. You have time for everything, your work as well as for your personal pursuits.

7. You sleep soundly as there is no more worry about what will happen next day.

8. Because you have extra time in hand you can use it to reduce some extra workload.

9. You have more time for yourself & can take care of your well being.

10. People around you have minimal or no chance to complain that you don't make time for them.

If just a little effort to manage our time can give us so many benefits then I don't see any reason to be reluctant about practicing it.

  2. I completely agree with you. People tend to forget that it's not the money which plays a vital element in life but it's their own life their own time. Money can't buy you time. But with proper time management, u can manage anything & everything! People are reluctant in sharing their piece of bread but they are ready to invest their time. But what they should be holding on to is their time not the money.
